Sleeper Semi Truck
A semi truck is a type of road tractor. This is a typically two or three axle power-driven vehicle. The rear end is equipped with a fifth wheel hitch, which has been constructed to support the front end of a semi trailer. A semi truck can pull one or more semi-trailers.
A Semi-trailer truck has steering front axel and one or two drive axles. The big powerful engine is usually is mounted on top of a front axle. This type of truck has two cab layouts: cab for a driver behind the engine and over the engine (cab forward truck). Short base cabs over engine trucks are more preferable in urban areas due to more maneuvering possibilities. Both types are suitable for highway usage.
The important feature of semi trucks covering long distance is the existing a special area for resting and sleeping. This place is called a sleeper. A sleeper has one ore two beds, windows, refrigerator and some cooking equipment. So a driver can sleep and rest at night in a truck comfortably.
