Flatbed Truck

A flatbed truck is a delivery truck having a flatbed bed on his frame. Its bodywork is just an entirely flat, level 'bed' with no sides. A flatbed has a solid strong bed made from wooden planks and optional covered by plywood boards. There is no roof and no fixed sides and only some of them have steel upright removable pillars, which can be removed for easy loading process.

These features allow for quick and easy loading of goods and materials. The flatbed truck is used for transportation of flat solid material such as wood boards, beams, plywood, sheets and etc. This truck can deliver some abnormal loads that require more space, because it is only flat bed and no any borders around. The goods and materials have not to be vulnerable to water or any other impact of weather.

Flatbeds became rare in our days but they are still used in some specific jobs, such as metal and steel construction business. You can find and buy a good flatbed truck from Chevrolet, Ford, Freightliner, GMC, Hino, Inter or Mack.
