cylinders: 8 cylindersdrive: rwdfuel: gaspaint color: whitetitle status: cleantransmission: automatictype: truckI’m putting up my 2000 Chevrolet 3500HD equipped with the 454 Vortec, 4L80E automatic transmission, and Dana 80 rear axle with 4.63 gears up for sale. It has a Knapheide 11.5 ft long utility body. The utility body isn’t in perfect shape but it hauls everything I ever needed and more. One compartment (passenger rear) needs a new floor put into it or braced up - I just use that compartment to haul waste and never had an issue with it. It has a brand new AC system (compressor, lines, condenser, evaporator, etc), starter, battery, belt, fan clutch, tensioner, idler pulley, heater hoses, and fluids. There’s a lot of spare parts that goes with this truck such as a new alternator, fuel filters, various parts, two wheels with tires on them (one good tire and one bad tire) - I’m a mechanic so I tend to buy a bunch of parts for my vehicles just in case I need them one day and to get everything updated. I drive this truck almost everyday and driven it several times to NC (250 miles one way) without any problems. This truck runs great but there are a couple things to state upfront so there’s no surprises - I unplugged the EGR valve since it’s getting weak and keeps on activating at idle which bogs the truck down - the truck no longer has the bogging down problem and it’s one less thing to worry about. The door hinges are sagging in typical Chevy fashion - they can be replaced pretty easily, it just didn’t bother me enough to get it done yet at this point. The fuel gauge is glitchy which is a common problem for these older Silverados (buzzing gauge) - I usually drive 250 miles and fill up to be safe. The body/paint isn’t perfect but it’s a work truck - it looks the part! It has a new JVC bluetooth/MP3 radio and speakers for those long drives which comes with the truck. The tires are nearly new with about 9K-10K miles on them and they wear like iron. The previous owner (erosion company) had the transmission rebuilt and it shifts/drives well. It was a former CDC truck prior to the erosion company. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer them. OBO! This truck is getting traded in soon so I’ll entertain any offers! Perfect for contractors, plumbers, masonry, etc! Key words: 3500 Silverado dually DRW heavy duty
