1997 International 9800 SBA COE

Up for sale is a 1997 International 9800 SBA COE. This truck is in overall excellent condition mechanically, and is in decent shape cosmetically.It has given me many years of reliable service, and has a lot of life left in it.

Truck has a Cummins M11-400HP with jake brake, with a 10 speed RoadRanger transmission. Engine is a Cummins factory remanufactured engine, with approximately 640k miles since installed. Engine has had nothing but full synthetic oil since it was installed.

Dual aluminum tanks with approximately 190 gallons of usable capacity. Truck is a «condo» with a flat floor, double bunks, and stand up sleeper. Fontaine sliding fifth wheel. Fifth wheel ramps. Approximately 144″ wheelbase. Set back «bus» axle. This truck is excellent when maneuvering in tight spaces. Pre-emission engine — no DEF required. Truck has all LED lighting, including DOT approved LED headlights. Truck has Eagle package. Full set of gauges. Also has boost pressure gauge, suspension pressure gauge, and fuel filter restriction gauge. The wiring is installed for Qualcomm MCP. 1500 watt hardwired inverter. Used it mainly to power a small microwave. Custom made toolboxes, chain box, and spare tire rack.

A Cummins RoadRelay computer is included. Monitors fuel mpg in real time, along with fuel consumption, maintenance intervals, and more.

There is also an electric cab jack hydraulic pump installed — no more pumping to raise the cab! The pump is valved to allow the manual pump to be used in case of emergency.

The truck comes with a complete set of factory engine and chassis manuals. This was the last year that the manuals were available in paper form, without having to buy an online subscription.

The truck received regular scheduled maintenance. I used only synthetic lubricants in engine, transmission, and axles. Oil filter changed every 12,000 miles, oil drain at 36,000 miles. Truck consumes approximately 1 quart of oil every 12,000 miles. 3 axle alignment and overhead run every 100,000 miles. The truck was maintained by the owner, and a good local shop.

Tires are recaps on rears with 80% tread. Steers are virgin tires with 95% tread. Truck has steel wheels all around. Tires are 22.5 inch.

Truck comes with many extras — spare turbocharger (used, working), brand new alternator, and many small spare parts. Also, spare rims, tires, and casings.
A laptop with software and an interface to read engine codes is included.
