2000 GMC C6500 26’ Box Truck with Bad Transmission Lots of other minor things need repair but overall a good truck once you fix the transmission you should do pretty well with just regular maintenance. A rebuilt transmission from Allison Transmissions is approximately $2,500 the fee for a skilled mechanic to take out the old transmission and put in the new transmission is approximately $1,000. The value of the truck after the transmission repair is $18,500. The useful life of the truck transmission should be another 10 years. I’m willing to finance responsible people with a large down payment
