Gruman Olson Step Van

I am the 3rd owner of this 1972 Olson step van. Its first owner was a carpenter and the second was a plumber. I have been in the water system business for 39 years and this van has served me better than any other vehicle I have ever had. Its reliable easy to drive and has full head room and I am 6’4. Over the last three months I have completely restored it back to its original splendor. The chassis is a F -350 with the biggest brake drums available. Its powered by a ford inline 6 cylinder 300 cu. in. The entire body is Aluminum riveted together with aircraft rivets built by Olson. I had the head rebuilt, new valve guides, ground valves resurfaced. I installed a new exhaust manifold, starter, alternator, fuel pump, and filter housing, voltage regulator, starter solenoid, heater core, all new hoses,plugs wires cap, rotor. change out the mechanical points for electronic ignition. I installed new pistons 20,000 over specially built for ups cast iron sleeved new rings rods, and bearings. All new running lights LED. Installed a new rebuilt C-6 trans, new universal Joints and new carrier bearing. Had the drive line professionally lengthened and balanced. Changed the differential oil. New wheel bearings, three new drums, new shoes and hardware, new wheel cylinder, new master cylinder, and vac, assist. Rebuilt driver and passenger doors. New rear bumper, restored front bumper, replaced drivers seat with seat from lincoln luxury sports coup. This van has never been painted from the factory. It is getting to be rare and with the body as straight as it is. IT IS A FIND. The tires cost over 2000$ They are 10 ply Toyo’s. comes with 10,000 lb winch not mounted.
