1949 FORD F-1 PICKUP TRUCK VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: This has been a new restoration project for the past year with majority of the restoration performed by Hard Body Customs in Lubbock, Texas. Hard Body Customs performed work including (directly from their Facebook website): "Finished a few upgrades on 1949 F1 Pick up truck. New under bed fuel tank, corrected previous rear suspension install set up, added a Mustang II rack and pinion style front suspension set up, new aluminum radiator. Installed TMI bucket seats along with completing a custom interior surround to match. Door panels, kick panels, headliner and back cab surround. New carpet and a small console to hold those cold beverages. Custom Speed Hut gauges. Musical sounds run through JL AUDIO speakers. 2-6x9, 2- 5-1/4", and last but not least 1- 8" sub tucked behind the seats. Sounds awesome." 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission (4L65E) from Monster Transmissions installed on truck by Hard Body Customs (compatible with LS style engines rated up to 1000 HP per Monster Transmission website). The Mustang II rack and pinion style front suspension set up is new. New American Racing wheels and Michelin tires: Front - 225/55R17 Michelin Primacy 3 tires; Rear - 245/55R17 Michelin Primacy 3 tires. New power door windows and wiper system, brake lines, air conditioner and heater are operable, new wiring system. Speedometer is satellite controlled and Speed Hut guages have flourescent light blue appearance when lights are on. New Mustang II rack and pinion style front end suspension set up on truck give truck an awesome looking stance and new wheels and tires make it an awesome driver. New JL Audio System CD player which is compatible with Iphone and Sirius. Hard Body Customs also installed a new drive shaft and steering linkage system. The new 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission will make this truck a daily driver. Lap belts installed. Previous owners chopped top of truck by 2 1/2 inches. Engine Specifications: New engine and exhaust installed by Chevrolet SS Performance Engines in Lubbock. Engine is a Chevrolet V-8/350 horsepower engine. Dual exhaust includes stainless steel headers, Magna Flow mufflers and dual chrome tips. Chevrolet SPC (small block) 350/V-8 engine provides 375 horsepower; 650 cfm Holley carburetor; aluminum Patriot heads; aluminum roller rockers; intake 2.02 inches; exhaust 1.60 inches; intake runners 210 cc; Comp Cam 280; 373 rear end.
