condition: goodcylinders: 6 cylindersdrive: 4wdfuel: gasodometer: 118200title status: cleantransmission: automaticThe elusive structurally solid, low mileage 1993 Toyota Pickup Wanted and clean Extra Cab, Low Mileage bulletproof 3.0L V6, On the fly 4x4, Top of the line SR5 Package, Push the gas and go Automatic transmission An unheard of low 118k Miles.. Truck is 100% STOCK, Never offroaded, Never taken offroad or into fields... this was a truck that was driven on the road! and Had it’s oil changed religiously... actually was just serviced so the oil is fresh and clean! This isn’t like every other Toyota pickup with 211k or 265k that is still being sold for $1500 even with it’s patchable holes in the frame.. This diamond in the rough is the exact opposite of those trucks. With a small amount of upkeep, you’re looking at a truck that has another 100k-150k to go before you even need to think about dealing with anything motorwise... It is smooth, powerful, and barely broken in. This truck has a strong Motor/Tranny, structurally a very solid frame and one of the cleanest/rust free original Extra Cabs that you will find in the northeast. Runs 100%, Power windows, Sunroof, Heat works great!, Interior is not all worn out for a 1993. Has A nice split front bench seat with armrest, Cupholders in the dash SR5 Package means it has all the bells and whistles, Came from the factory with sliding split rear window, glass pop up sunroof which is awesome to have! Tilt steering wheel. Factory A/C. I do not know if it still gets cold but it might! It may need a recharge since when turned on, you can feel the engine change slightly so the compressor is good and turning on as it should. I cannot remember the last time I used it living here in southern VT. With all the windows and sunroof, I never needed to. Also, I like to get the 20 city/27 highway gas mileage that this truck attains! It still has the factory radio and steering wheel controls to control the volume and stations. SR5’s came with larger tires from factory and the same size tires are still installed. Has all the SR5 factory skidplates that show that this truck has never been beaten offroad being dent and scratch free Truck is a 1993 so there s no title from the DMV that I ever received. All you need to register it is a bill of sale. You take it to the DMV, they check that the last person to register it is the same as on the bill of sale and you can get plates right then and there. Even in NY, Mass, CT, or RI.. So not having a title is NOT an issue as long as you get my valid bill of sale. FRAME- The truck was purchased 4 years ago from Mikes Imports and the frame looks to have been replaced at one point if I were to guess since it still has the original frame # still showing (see pics). Frame is showing rust scaling on the surface where the frame paint/sealant is gone but is very solid structurally... Bring a hammer to test it because I have and there aren’t any soft spots. Even on the top of the frame rails where salty dirt gets trapped and rusts them out. All the rust that is there is just surface... on the frame, the suspension and on the body mounts, where there is rust, it is only surface since the paint had worn away. If coated with any manner of undercoatings, rust inhibiting paint or even spray paint to seal the rust, the frame, suspension, under the bed and body mounts could 100% be saved.. I’d say if you drove it without doing anything, you’d get maybe 4 winters before the rust got through.. or spend $20 on 4 cans of rust converting paint and spray under the truck from front to rear and get another 10 years out of it. The frame itself looks as if it was undercoated or sealed at some point since you can see the coating has peeled away in places. Either that or it is the coating from the replacement frame ( if it had one installed) because the factory lettering that is left on the frame where surface rust has not gotten to is painted over the coating that has not peeled off (see the pics). All you have to do it undercoat it, fluid film it, paint it or oil it and the frame will have many years left. If someone does not jump on this truck at the price listed, I plan on grinding as much scale off as possible, coating the frame, body mounts, under the cab and suspension with Por 15 Rust inhibiting paint which will make this truck 100% sealed and free from rusting any further.. at which point, the truck will be sold for more. ENGINE- The engine runs like a top.. never has let us down. Gets to perfect temp and stays there, perfect oil pressure, oil and antifreeze is clean so the headgaskets are great. The Gas tank pressures up, has no holes and is not rusted out like all the other Toyota’s of this age. It sounds very smooth, gets 20 mpg city and I have gotten 29 on the highway. Most of the time it’s 26ish. Engine has very smooth power delivery and with the automatic transmission, it is very nice. If you turn off the overdrive, this truck wants to take off fast! We always kept O/D off to save gas and we never towed or plowed with it so there wan never an need to.. but if you needed to tow with this truck, it has the power! Engine does not leave oil spots on the ground and as stated previously but to blast the point home, it has had religious oil changes and oil is fresh right now! BODY- Cab is very clean with some of the cleanest original rocker panels that you will ever see on a Toyota pickup of this era.. Not to mention the cab corners. They show only the slightest bubbling in a few small places but overall are clean enough to wax and would shine. They are amazingly solid. Fenders were replaced with brand new flat black new ones. They were replaced quickly so the inner fender wells still need to be attached correctly. The cab mounts show some surface rust but are all solid. With a wire brush attachment on a drill and some rust profing paint, they would look good as new. They simply have surface rust but are structurally strong and just need to be cleaned up and sealed or at the very least, simply sealed with some paint to stop the progression of the surface rust into something bad. The bed is very solid with only small surface bubbling on the passenger side wheel well, a small hole on the driver rear wheel well and the worst of it being right above the exhaust outlet. It is very savable if addressed soon. (See pics). I am listing this truck as is for the price listed due to it needing these things addressed. The bed is the worst of it all and honestly is an easy fix. It is the only part that really needs work done since it is visible.. any other surface rust that needs to be addressed is hidden and is a cheap, easy thing to take care of. If it does not sell quickly, I plan on grinding down the rust, welding in some metal, hitting it with some filler and putting a coat of fresh grey metallic paint on it. truck will be priced a lot higher or maybe after it’s clean and sealed, I may not be able to let it go! TIRES+WHEELS- Has two VERY meaty 90% tread BF Goodrich TA’s on the front and the rears have a little over 50% left. All should pass inspection fine and get you through any weather with ease. Comes with all 4 RARE original SR5 Allow wheels as well. SMALL THINGS THAT NEED TO BE ADRESSED -I just did brake lines and was by myself so they need to be bled better( they pump up and stop very well, just have some air in the lines) -We didn’t drive the truck much this summer but I noticed when driving it the other day that the speedometer is cutting out once in a while. I just drove the truck 100 miles and it seemed to work itself out and worked just about the entire time. Seemed to not like around town drivind to begin with, but when on the highway at 70 mph, it worked the entire time so it must be something simple. I just have not had time to look into it but it seemed the more the truck was driven, the less it happened. Something totally new that just popped up -The front end is very tight feeling but at highway speed there was what felt like an unbalanced tire. It isn’t bad but I noticed it. Maybe it was from sitting for a few months and the tires got a flat spot on them. It did smooth out towards the end of the 100 mile trip but I am trying to be a thorough as possible. Other than that, this truck is a RARE find that with a small bit of upkeep could be a very reliable pickup for many years to come. These trucks go for big money when clean and this truck is not far away from being that. Seal the flaking rust on the frame, Touch up the bubbles on the bed, throw a coat of paint on it and you have one of the most sought after Toyota pickups out there. Cleaned up examples are worth $5000-$6500 and that’s talking clean 4 cyl’s. A cleaned up SR5 3.0L V6 Deluxe package extra cab is worth BIG money... (check the sold listings on ebay to see what these SR5 3.0L xtra cabs have sold for). If you are a true Toyota pickup guy and do your own mechanics, I have a 3.0L 4x4 Toyota parts truck with a 5 speed transmission and everything needed to swap it in if you were interested. Since that project will be going with this truck, we could work something out for you to take that as well for not very much cash. I drove the truck on a 100 mile round trip recently and it could easily be driven home as is.. If you would like to bleed the brakes before doing so, I can crack the bleeders and you can pump them up to have a firm brake pedal before you dive it away I could put a few hundred into this truck and have something worth A LOT more than I am asking, so I am pretty firm on the price. If you are coming from a long distance, I may be able to help you out with gas but I cannot drop the price much at all. I look forward to hearing from you! Get ahold of me and we can set up a time for you to come take a look at the truck and take it for a test drive. When you hear how smooth the engine is, how smooth the tranny is and how tight the steering is, you will not be disappointed.
