I will be putting my 1995.5 Toyota Pickup 4x4 22re, manual transmission up for sale. I know the value of this truck, so I am in no hurry to sell. I am looking for the right buyer who will appreciate what a rare find this is in New England. This truck has been my baby for nearly 100k miles, and has lived her entire life in New Mexico. She was a service truck for a small auto parts store in Southern NM and was garaged for 7 years prior to me buying her. I can almost guarantee that this is the cleanest truck in New England- ZERO frame rust and no body rust. She has never driven on a salted road in her life. All mechanical and electrical systems work 100%. Interior is clean, all trim is near perfect including headliner. Paint is 8/10, has desert pinstripes. No major dents. The truck is 23 years old, but is in overall excellent condition. I originally purchased this to do survey work in the western US and Mexico which meant I spent lots of time in solitary and remote areas in North America. I needed something that wouldn’t strand me while I was 100+ miles from the nearest person. Dependability is literally a life or death situation in my line of work. Modifications have been carefully done and only the highest quality replacement parts (i.e. OEM or better quality- Aisin, Denso, or Toyoda) were selected for maintenance. I have prioritized balancing capable off-road performance while maximizing on-road ride quality. I cruise 75 mph for 16hr/day no problem, and when I am ready to stop driving, I just sleep in the back. I have been obsessive about maintenance schedules and have over $10k invested (see last picture of spreadsheet). Everything is in 100% working order. I can provide detailed information + receipts but for now here is an overview: -Old Man Emu lift (Nitrocharger sport shocks and Dakar springs) ($1200) -LCE engineering headers, hi-flow cat, exhaust ($1150) - Brand New 33inx12.50xR15- x 4 BF Goodrich T/A KO2 ($850) -Trail Gear bumper w/ 9,000lb Engo winch mounted ($800) -Toyota SR5 bucket seats w/ lumbar ($80/ seat) -Premium Polk Audio/JVC sound system w/ Bluetooth ($410) -Hi Top camper shell, watertight (1st picture) -Motor rebuild in June 2017 (@230k mi). This was done by the premier North American Toyota 4x4 specialist. Everything is to Toyota original specs using all OEM parts from a master rebuild kit. This rebuild cost me $4k and I have receipts to prove this wasn’t some cheap crate engine slapped in. It is as close to having a factory new 22re as possible in 2017. I have a three year warranty that can be transferred to you which covers everything (including labor) if you have doubts as to the quality of this build. New clutch installed at this time. For the past two years, my job has my time split between NM and MA and I road trip 3x a year between these two states in the truck. That’s 5k miles round trip and this motor never missed a beat. Additionally, I’ve toured 40 states and 3 countries in this little beast- from the Sierra Nevadas, the Lower Chihuahuan desert to the lakes of Manitoba . As my daily driver, overlanding vehicle, furniture hauler, and grocery getter alike, this truck never failed me. In fact, this truck was never meant to be sold. But now I am living full time in Mass and the love of my life says we need to get something safer and larger for our (newly!) growing family. No argument there! I have to emphasize this isn’t some shoddily built crawler or neglected hunting rig. This is a truck meant to be driven, and I wouldn’t hesitate to take her to southern Mexico tonight (well- maybe if I had the time off). It is my sincere hope this goes to someone who wants to get into overlanding, or who is looking to have a super reliable and affordable road trip vehicle. I am flexible on price, and am a sympathetic soul. If you can convince me you’ll use this truck as intended, I’ll be happy to work with you on price. Vehicle is in Western Mass and I am willing to pick you up from Hartford (Bradley) Airport if you are coming from out of state. I am happy to answer any questions and thank you for reading!
