*Classic* 1984 Nissan 720 Pickup

I am selling my beloved 1984 Nissan 720 pickup. This truck is a beauty. It carries the classic styling of years gone by. And it only has 94K miles on it! On top of that, the bed is built out for long term living/camping. It runs on the z24 engine. It has 4WD high/low. It has a sunroof. The original stereo has been removed and a cd deck has been put in place which I almost never use, opting to carry a bluetooth speaker instead. I’m told this is the last year Datsun branding was put on the truck before it went full Nissan. You’ll notice Nissan is stamped in the tailgate and there is a placard on the grille. But there are several Datsun stickers on the truck also. The truck is in very good shape for being 33 years old. But it is probably meant for a "car guy." I am not a car guy; I’m a designer and a sucker for aesthetics. That’s why I bought this truck in 2015. I will answer your questions as best as I can. Let’s go over the details. The Good: -The body is in great shape. A paint job some time in the past few years gives a new appearance from a few feet away. It is eye catching, and you’ll receive never ending attention driving this thing. -Low miles. Only 94,084 miles on the original engine at the time of listing. Note, there is a slot on the odometer for hundred thousands, so this hasn’t rolled over. -Camp ready. I lived in this pickup for three months as I traveled through Washington, Oregon, California and the Southwest. I’m 6’-2" and just fit in the back lying down. But while sitting, I fit with ample head space.. -To make it camp ready this truck comes with a second, battery (deep cycle) running to to an easy-to-access inverter in the back. -The rest of "camp ready" means there is an included: 5lb propane tank, two-burner stove, curtains (that need to be re-glued as the heat in death valley melted most of the adhesive right off), a tri-fold 4" mattress that fits perfectly in the space between the cabinetry, and of course, the cabinetry itself, all made form cabinet grade plywood. You will notice in the photos that I’ve designed the space so that "canyon" between the two storage units can be spanned with plywood, creating a flat surface the width of the bed. When not in use, one spanning piece becomes your chair back, sitting at a proper reclining angle, and the other pieces lay flat under the mattress. -The truck comes with two auxiliary wide beam lights (controlled from the dash inside), and is already wired for two more high-beams. -The jump seats in the cab have been removed, and over the second battery additional storage has been built in the form of shelves. -WeatherTech rubberized floor mats -Working 4WD -Gas mileage is around 20mpg -Did I mention you’ll be styling? :) The not so good: -The truck currently isn’t idling 99% of the time. I don’t know if it needs the carburetor cleaned/rebuilt (it had this done a year and a half ago), or if there is a vacuum leak or what. -Power steering has gone too. The pump and line need replacing. I had a replacement pump priced at $160. -The motor for the A/C is going. It makes a whiny noise as it runs. -Water will seep in between the bed and cap. I currently have foam tape in between that should be replaced. That may fix the problem. This 720 is awesome. It has character that new trucks don’t. And it has incredibly low miles for its age. I would recommend a mechanically minded person as the next owner. Someone who likes to tinker, as this will need work up front (though it could all be done at a mechanic for about $1K).
