2001 Ford F-150 XLT Triton 5.4L Extended Cab 4x4 Pickup This is a good dependable running older pickup. I used it for work. I am selling it because I bought something shinny and newer (and mostly because my wife wants it out of the back yard). This is NOT a show truck. It is a good vehicle for work that runs well. It’s what we use to call a "Transportation Special" (it’ll get you from point A to point B). It is a "Birth Control" vehicle, cause you ain’t gonna get lucky in it. Pros: * Starts great and does NOT smoke or burn oil. * Replaced transmission less than 1500 miles ago. * Brand new $1000 in new tires (less than 200 miles on them) * Just installed an auto start * Installed a nice used tall topper (black) * Installed all new brake system (master cylinder, anti-lock metering valves, calipers, and pads) * Had the entire underside inspected (replaced a tie rod end and a hub bearing) Cons: * Approx. 256,000 miles (but it starts and runs good) * One of the dash lights is out. * The vehicle has 2 rust holes in the box and both rocker panels are rotted (I have new OEM repair panels for the box and rockers. I will include them) * The A/C wasn’t blowing ice cold air by the end of summer like it had been. I’m thinking that it needs a re-charge. * The driver’s side running board fell off. * The clear coat on the hood is flaking off (very Ford like) Asking $2,200 (which doesn’t even cover the new tires, new auto-start, and topper).
