These were only made a few years, and then the "Sierra" name was moved over to the full-size pickups. This is the equivalent of a Chevy S10. This is a longbed. It has a lot of miles on it, but it was being driven daily until the engine quit. I suspect it’s a thrown rod, although there is no external damage visible. The starter spins, but will not engage the flywheel. The engine is the 2.8L V6, and it ran very well, until suddenly it didn’t. I traded a different vehicle to my brother to help him out, and now I’m studying what I want to do. I will gladly sell it for the price listed above, and I am negotiable. But I don’t have to sell it, and if I don’t, maybe I’ll make it my own little hot rod. The automatic transmission leaks, probably from the front seal. The water pump was recently replaced. The air conditioner works, although it does have a refrigerant leak. It’s been converted to R134a. The tires are good; the rears are about 6 months old, and the fronts are almost new. You can tell from the mileage on it that you shouldn’t expect any gems here. But, if you want to put in another engine (or rebuild this one, if it’s possible), you can have yourself a pretty decent little work truck. I will consider trades for such things as a UTV or a big old motorcycle. Or maybe other stuff. Make me an offer I can’t refuse.
