1980 Toyota Hilux 4X4 LB Pickup 57K miles. All original 20R motor and L45 4 speed transmission. Has new OEM Asian carburetor. This truck is in super nice shape for an almost 40 year old truck. It hasn’t been hacked, chopped, motor/tranny swapped, repainted, re-upholstered or beat to death. It is a very tight straight truck, and everything works as it should. The previous owner did a rear axle and Pro Comp suspension upgrade with new shocks, pitman arm and stabilizer.. The stock rear axle comes with if someone wanted to switch back to stock set up. Here is a link of what was done to the axle. : http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/129-0012-toyota-rear-axle-upgrade. It still has the factory paint job, and while it is shiny etc. it has some dings, nicks and blemishes etc. which I will try and show in the pictures. The worst is on the passenger side rear of box. Almost all of the Gen 1 Toyotas have dings in the side of the bed due to the single wall. While there isn’t any rust, there are a few surface rust spots/blemishes. The stock bumpers are straight and in nice shape. The upholstery is all stock and in nice shape except for one tear on the drivers side which I was told could be fixed relatively easy with a new piece of vinyl. I have a stack of receipts from previous owner, and the original owners manual etc. I put on Toyo M/T 33X10.50 tires ($1000) which have about 2500 miles on them, an aluminum toolbox, and I have a nice period correct brush guard ($350) I had powder coated black but never put on. I also have an OEM larger set of chrome mirrors, an extra set of tires mounted on chrome OEM wheels that were on it when I purchased it (see picture), a new OEM telescoping antenna etc. It had 54k miles on it when I purchased 3 years ago, I have put on 3k miles, and I don’t drive it in the winter. If you are looking for an unmolested Gen 1 Toyota that runs/drives like it should you won’t be disappointed. I am 52 years old and don’t need to sell, but I have some other interests I am pursuing. If you are interested in a clean collectable Toyota truck that won’t drip all over the garage, it is definitely worth the look. While it isn’t a show truck, it is probably cleaner and more original than 95% of its peers. If it doesn’t sell in several weeks, I will probably try ebay or just keep it. Title in hand. $8500 . I don’t need help selling it, Thank You.
