1998 GMC Sonoma S15 Pickup

Time to sell my best friend, a 1998 S15 pickup. I’ve owned it since 2008 and have diligently maintained it. The list of significant repairs/replacements is below. All service records come with the vehicle. Engine is the 4.3 liter V6. A good strong motor that has been problem-free. It is a factory-rebuilt engine installed around the 141k mile mark. Still reliably gets 18mpg or higher depending on your driving style. Oil pressure is 40+ pounds. 4 wheel drive and automatic transmission. Both the transmission and rear differential had major repairs done and are very reliable. Done at K.C. Martin Automotive and Randys Ring and Pinion. They know what they’re doing. Power steering, power brakes and a cold A/C. Tow package with mounted rear receiver and wiring. The brakes are very good and should last another 50k miles at least. Tires are brand new all terrain traction tires. Stereo unit was replaced with a JVC unit that includes Bluetooth hands-free calling. Very handy. Bed comes with a slip-in bed liner and aluminum rail caps. Original front tow hooks were replaced with shackles. One remaining maintenance item to be done. Replacement of the foot-operated emergency brake. I have the unit and will include it in the sale. I don’t drive it much anymore so leave it trickle charging with a small solar panel when parked. A master 12v shutoff switch is installed near the battery to ensure there is no voltage leak down. All in all a very nice, reliable truck. I would keep it but am moving to rural property in eastern Washington where I need a bigger truck. Great for suburban/city use. Easy to maneuver. Maintenance within the last 60k miles: Catalytic converter Shock absorbers Ball joints, pitman arm, idler arm Rear differential pinion bearings, carrier bearings, axles, axle bearings and seals Left front wheel bearing and hub (self) Battery, 660 CCA Repair drivers side upper door hinge; replace upper pin/bushing Maintenance within the last 1000 miles: Rear brakes, pads, rotors, caliper ($600) Evap vent solenoid Engine oil cooler/remote filter lines ($500) Serpentine belt 4 wheel alignment Motor mounts ($600) Fuel filter Spark plugs Tailgate cables A/C leak repair and recharge Replace tires with Goodrich All Terrain (still under warranty) ($800) UPDATE 9/18/17: Steering gear box and passenger side upper control arm and both ball joints.
