1970 GMC C5500 Dump Truck 54,754 Original Miles on Truck 401 C.I. Heavy Duty Pintle Hitch This truck runs, drives, and stops great. I have hauled countless loads of dirt, trees, building debris, Etc.. with this truck, without issue. It holds great oil pressure and vacuum, (shown). It does not run hot, even in summer months. I replaced all of the deadly split rims, with modern 1-piece steel wheels, and radial tires. (The steer tires are NEW Michelins, the drives are fresh re-caps.) It drives so much better after this. The lights, horn, turn signals, hazzard lights all work. It will pass DOT inspection. The heater works as well. Received a new battery last spring. The engine in this truck was removed from a 1966 GMC Fire Engine w/ 23,000 miles. This is a much, heavier duty engine than was normally in this style chassis. It runs perfectly. Tons of power.
