condition: faircylinders: 8 cylindersdrive: rwdfuel: gastitle status: cleantransmission: manualtype: truckI bought this as a project truck about 10 years ago, made a few improvements, then put it in the corner of the garage where it has sat ever since - starting it to let it run for a bit once or twice a year. When I bought it, it ran rough, brakes, didn’t work, and one of the rear leaf springs was broken. I’ve had the carb gone through so it runs better, replaced the broken spring, and replaced the master cylinder. The rear brakes now work but only when the pedal is all the way to the floor. There is still a leak in the front part of the brake system someplace which is really the only thing not making it road worthy. The box does raise and lower, but there’s a leak in the hydraulic hoses that needs to be found and fixed. I did use it a number of times years ago filling and dumping dirt out of it so the box/gate/etc do work. One of the frost plugs on the engine is also leaking when it heats up which will need to be replaced. I don’t see any cracks in the block itself. I’ve been told the scrap value alone to be somewhere just under half of what I’m asking. One option is to fix the mechanical problems and use it as a dump truck as is. It does run fair and doesn’t appear to leak or use oil. The option I was considering was to take the cab and engine out of it, buy an electric hydraulic pump, and turn it into a cheap dump trailer. Either way it would make a pretty cheap dump bed option for someone looking to save money over something newer. At this point I’m clearly never going to have the time to spend on it. Engine is a 318. I have no idea how many miles are on it as the odometer doesn’t work. Standard transmission which seems to shift fine. Someone put a 4x4 transfer case in it years ago so it has the optional lower gear range. This also runs the pump for the box. Offers considered - cash only - prefer email or text please. I do have a clear title for it.
